Cyclist breaks both his arms after being knocked off bike in suspected hit and run

Thomas Daniel, was cycling along Deane Road at around 5.50pm on Monday afternoon (April 26) when a white Volkswagen Polo allegedly pulled out of Cannon Street and struck him.

He broke both arms in the collision and also suffered ligament damage to his left knee. "The driver didn’t stop," he told the Manchester Evening News. "As I was sliding on the floor, I heard the wheel spin from the acceleration on his car. "No one at all stopped to help me off the floor.
