Drastic cuts to bed numbers have fuelled the challenges facing the under-pressure NHS.One in five beds at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital have been axed over the past ten years.Now a politician has called on the Scottish Government to provide hard-pressed staff with the “resources they need” to properly run services.MSP Neil Bibby spoke out after new figures revealed that available beds at the Corsebar Road facility had dropped by 18.9 per cent since the financial year 2011/12.Data shows 797 places were on offer in 2011, falling to 646 in 2020/21.The figure marks the lowest number of beds available at the site in the past decade.Neil Bibby, Labour list MSP for West Scotland, told the Express that staff are being hindered by the cuts,
