Crossbow murder hunt as armed police swarm cemetery

Armed officers have been seen combing local allotments and a cemetery after the wife and daughters of BBC sport commentator John Hunt were murdered in their own home in a leafy town.

A manhunt is underway after Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, were discovered with fatal injuries by Mr Hunt.

It's understood John returned to the family home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, from his work at BBC Five Live racing on Tuesday evening - and despite the efforts of emergency services the three women all died at the scene.Main suspect Kyle Clifford, 26, is being hunted by police following the gruesome discovery and officers have warned he is believed to armed with a crossbow and other weapons.Clifford is from Enfield and police have been seen swarming allotments with an ambulance seen at a nearby cemetery in the area this afternoon.Witnesses spotted an ambulance arriving at the Lavender Hill cemetery in North London which was being searched by armed police.Footage posted on social media appeared to show emergency services rushing towards a cemetery in the Hilly Fields area of Enfield, north London, as the manhunt for Kyle Clifford continued.

Armed police could also be seen in the video, with Hertfordshire Police saying they were unable to confirm whether they had narrowed their search for the triple murder suspect to the area.An ambulance with blue lights was later seen leaving the cemetery — which is a four minute walk from Kyle Clifford’s home address.
