Ronaldo completed a return to Old Trafford on deadline day, signing a two-year contract with the club after spending six years with the Reds between 2003 and 2009.
During his first spell he played alongside Silvestre, who had spells as a regular at left-back and centre-back under Sir Alex Ferguson, but now 36-year-old Ronaldo is entering the twilight of his career.
