A man murdered his partner in a savage attack - then hid at his mother's house to try and flee from police. Patryk Skupinski murdered mother-of-three, Marlene Doyle, in a horrific attack at their flat.
Marlene, who the court heard had suffered extensive domestic abuse at the hands of her killer, was found with 'significant' head injuries and it is believed she died as long as five days before her body was found.
A court heard that after murdering his partner, Skupinski, 37, got in touch with two friends on the evening of January 15, who went to the flat in the early hours of the next day.
The pair, Michal Lada and Kinga Rybacka, then helped him 'disappear' and hid him for three days, 'despite clearly knowing he had killed his girlfriend', a court heard.
