Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to plummet across Greater Manchester, as one borough has seen a weekly drop of almost 60 per cent.

Latest data has revealed that all ten boroughs have seen a decrease in Coronavirus infection rates. However the infection rate across the region is still higher than the national average.

Tameside now has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, replacing Bolton, with a rate of 1127.6 per 100,000 people as of January 14.

The lowest infection rate is in Stockport, where the rate is 905.2 cases per 100,000 people.
