Several coronavirus rules have been relaxed across Scotland as the country attempts to live with the deadly virus. The covid vaccine passport was scrapped yesterday, while school children are no longer required to wear a face mask in the classroom.

The latest Scottish Government figures revealed that 5,498 new cases were identified across the country in the last 24-hour period.In that same time period no deaths were registered.There are currently 1,175 people in hospital after testing positive for the deadly virus, while there are 19 Scots in intensive care units in Scotland.A total of 4,436,113 people have received their first dose of the vaccine, 4,157,209 have received their second dose, and 3,430,747 have received a third dose or booster.
