A man and a woman and three children escaped a house fire in Rochdale tonight. The drama happened at a property on Halifax Road around 8.40pm.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene but the occupants of the house managed to get themselves out of the property before the emergency services arrived.
Pictures from the scene showed a number of firefighters, police including plain clothes officers and an ambulance. A window of the property appeared to be broken.
