Adam Henson is may seem like a humble farmer - but he's actually got some pretty impressive celebrity connections. The Countryfile star, who was born on Cotsworld Farm Park in Gloucestershire which he now runs, rose to fame when he was chosen to show's new presenter in 2001.
Adam's farm was on the brink of collapse after being rocked by foot-and-mouth disease - and it was long-term partner and mother of his kids Charlotte who "nagged" him to apply. "In 2001 when foot-and-mouth disease was rife, we couldn’t open the park and business was very bad," he told The Mirror in May 2019. "Countryfile did a presenter search, and although I wasn’t bothered, my partner nagged me about it, as she thought I’d be really good.
