She auditioned for the part when she was just 17 and was only supposed to be in Corrie for five episodes. At the time, she went back to studying for her A-levels and working part-time in Boots, but ITV bosses were so impressed with her they extended her contract.

Sadly she hasn't had much to joke about on the cobble in recent months. Her character Fiz discovered that long-term partner Tyrone Dobbs was having an
