It’s the end of an era on Coronation Street as the Platt family leave the cobbles. David Platt and Gail Rodwell will move out of number eight tonight and move away from the street.
David sold the house to Ray Crosby last year after the sinkhole appeared in his back garden and he couldn’t afford to get it fixed.
Of course, at the time, David thought he was doing the right thing. However, viewers know that Ray was manipulating him into it.
The hotelier is trying to get his hands on as many properties on the iconic street for his redevelopment project. In tonight’s double-bill, we will see David, Shona and Gail back up their belongings and move on.
