Corrie icon Bill Roache, who's played Ken Barlow since day one in 1960, has just signed on the dotted line to stay with us at Weatherfield for another year.
In a nostalgic chat on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, the record-breaking TV star shared his excitement about his ongoing stint. "Still going strong, and hope to make the centenarian," he joked. "That would be great." When Alan asked him the recipe for his longevity on the show, William let slip: "The secret is to enjoy yourself." He then served up some sage advice on how to remain sprightly as one gets on in years.
