Catherine Tyldesley has announced the birth of her baby girl. The former Coronation Street shared the news on Instagram on Thursday (April 21) alongside an adorable first photo.

The actress, best known for playing Eva Price in the ITV soap from 2011 to 2018, announced the joyous news that she was expecting her second child with husband Tom Pitfield back in October.

Cath said at the time that the couple, who also share seven-year-old son Alfie, were 'utterly blessed' by the news of their impending arrival and that it was "tough" keeping the happy news a secret. Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-two shared a black and white image of the newborn's tiny legs and feet. "We are so happy to announce that our beautiful daughter has arrived," she said. "We are grateful beyond words and feel overjoyed that our family is complete." Cath, 38, is yet to reveal the bouncing baby's name or any more details but that didn't stop the congratulator messages coming in for the proud new parents.
