Corrie icon's famous soap husband returns to Emmerdale as new villain over two decades later
dailyrecord.co.ukEmmerdale is set to welcome a new villain as Robert Beck returns to the soap in a completely different role. The actor - who is married to Coronation Street Leanne Battersby icon Jane Danson - starred on the ITV soap 24 years ago as a totally different character.
Robert, 53, originally played Gavin Ferris on the soap in the 90s for more than 70 episodes. Gavin was the boyfriend of Bernice Blackstock, played by Samantha Giles, for a while and worked in The Woolpack.
In 1999, Gavin and Bernice split up after she and Tricia caught Gavin and Tricia's boyfriend Jason Kirk kissing and he left the soap shortly after the pair split up.As well as returning to the Dales, Robert has starred in the likes of Brookside, Hollyoaks, Waterloo Road, Casualty, and more.
Robert will play gangster Harry, who will debut on the show next week as part of a new storyline involving Nate Robinson, Caleb Miligan, and newcomer Corey.
