A former Coronation Street star, who was a fan favourite on the ITV soap, has now landed a huge movie role, two years after officially leaving the Corrie cobbles.
The actress joined the cobbles in 2019 as Alina Pop and her character was part of several dramatic storylines during the two years she featured in the show, including her character having a fling with iconic character Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall.
Ruxandra Porojnicu, who featured in Coronation Street until her exit in September 2021, has revealed she will be starring in the upcoming film Sumotherhood.The movie is a sequel to 2011's Anuvahood and Ruxandra announced the exciting news on her Instagram.
The star shared the official movie trailer along with the caption: “Hey Sprinkle, SUMOTHERHOOD comes in cinema October 13th”.
