Amidst the drama and chaos that Coronation Street brings, fans were left stunned by last night’s episode when Evelyn got a glam makeover.

Courtesy of Claudia, Evelyn was treated to a full pamper and a whole new look ahead of her big date with Arthur. Slapping on the make-up, making sure the hair was perfect and getting a whole new outfit, fans thought 73-year-old Maureen Lipman who plays Evelyn on the soap looked completely transformed.

But in typical Evelyn fashion, she was not as impressed with the makeover as everyone else was. Gasping as she looked in the mirror, Evelyn exclaimed: ‘You made me look like a chihuahua in a wind tunnel.’ While Evelyn may not have been a fan of Claudia’s new look for her, viewers of the show couldn’t believe
