North Ayrshire Council is to close all playparks and monitor visitor numbers to Irvine beach park in their efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus.The council has made their move after ‘becoming concerned’ about the large number of people who have been gathering in parks, seafronts and other locations in North Ayrshire.This is despite well-publicised guidance calling for social distancing in light of the coronavirus pandemic.On Monday North Ayrshire Council agreed to:Close all playparks to prevent parents and children touching the same play equipment, as part of the effort to reduce the possibility of transmission of coronavirus.Close Largs seafront car park to discourage the large numbers of people who have disregarded advice to stay
