The NBA has suspended its season until further notice after a player for the Utah Jazz tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
Jazz centre Rudy Gobert has been widely reported to be the player who has tested positive for Covid-19. The test result was reported shortly before the tip-off of Wednesday night's game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder, which was then cancelled.
The player who returned the positive test was not in the arena, and fans were told to leave. The NBA then announced it was suspending all play until further notice following Wednesday's games.
