Coronavirus infection rates continue to fall across all ten Greater Manchester boroughs

Coronavirus infection rates have continued to fall further in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, according to the latest figures.

Stockport now has the highest infection rate across the city-region area with 870.8 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending January 30.

The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, with a figure of 680.9 cases per 100,000 people. READ MORE: Dad at centre of Salford murder investigation named Across Greater Manchester, the infection rate is now 752.2 cases per 100,000 population.

This is lower than the national average which currently sits at 1045.6 cases per 100,000 people. In fact, the infection rate is lower than the national average in all ten of Greater Manchester's local authorities.
