Coronavirus in Scotland update as no new deaths and 1,341 new cases announced

The total number of positive cases in Scotland now stands at 162,333 since the start of the pandemic. 1,918 people are in hospital while 147 are in intensive care.It was also confirmed that 224,840 people have now received their first dose of the vaccine across Scotland, while 3,331 have received their second dose.
It comes as tougher lockdown restrictions are began yesterday for Scotland as the country desperately tries to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned the situation is "extremely serious" and action must be taken to halt the rapidly spreading new strain.
