Coronavirus: British child, 9 and entire family test positive for killer bug on ski holiday

A British family including a nine-year-old child have all tested positive for coronavirus while on a ski holiday in Bulgaria.

The family are staying in Bansko and it’s thought the child’s uncle may have passed the virus on having been in contact with his sister in the UK, who had already tested for the bug, local media report. Have you been affected by coronavirus?

Email webnews@mirror.co.uk Officials from the Regional Health Inspectorate told the Bulgarian National Radio that the child arrived in Bansko together with his uncle and his family on Friday evening.

Samples have been taken from the entire family and all are positive. They are all now in quarantine. The child is Bulgaria’s 52nd case of a coronavirus infection .
