It was a night of celebrations for the stars of Coronation Street after the soap scooped all three gongs at the TV Choice Awards for the second year in a row.The awards ceremony, which was hosted by Rob Beckett and held virtually, saw the ITV soap win Best Soap Actor, Best Soap Actress and the big one – Best Soap.
Corrie beat their big rivals EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks to the coveted award, while Sally Carman won Best Soap Actress and David Neilson won Best Soap Actor.
Sally triumphed for her moving performance as grieving mum Abi Franklin in the soap, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in December.
Abi’s son Seb was beaten to death in heartbreaking scenes aired in May and viewers were brought to tears by Sally’s performance..
