Popular Coronation Street café owner Roy Cropper has sparked concern from viewers as he made a huge blunder. Roy is played by 74 year old David Neilson and he has been experiencing some health issues in recent weeks leaving him worried.

Viewers have watched as Roy has ended up in hospital after suffering a number of chest pains and he has recently been told that he is suffering from angina.

As a result of the angina, Roy has been told he needs to have a small operation to fit a stent to get him back to a clean bill of health.

During Wednesday's episode, Roy managed to pluck up the strength to tell his niece Nina about his recent health problems.That was just before he headed off to hospital for his small operation that is set to take place this week.
