It becomes even more baffling at times when people sometimes come back to the soap after years, even though they have not been mentioned at all on television by their families.
Here, we take a closer look at the puzzling phenomenon of characters who seem to have disappeared from Weatherfield. Toyah Habeeb The character, played by Georgia Taylor, vanished from the soap for 13 years after she moved to London with Spider in 2003.
She never visited her sister Leanne Battersby and the rest of the family and did not even appear to send them a text or phone them during the soap.
