Coronation Street seven years ago, after the production moved from Manchester to Salford. Now, the former soap actress has admitted she felt the programme lost some of its “magic” after it left its old stomping ground.Paula, who played Kylie Platt in the ITV show for six years, claims bosses made a mistake transferring filming out of central Manchester.She said: “I absolutely loved it at the old set and genuinely believe if we hadn’t moved I might have stayed, because from a personal point of view getting to work was so much easier when we were in the centre of Manchester.“I don’t know, it gave so much scope for filming when we did move because the sets were bigger.
