As fans know, David has become an enemy of the gangster after taking money which belonged to him. Desperate to buy his mum Gail's house as she prepared to leave the street, he took the cash that was offered to his sister Sarah Platt by Harvey's brother Damon Hay after Bethany's serious health scare.
There were then terrifying scenes in the ITV soap on Monday night (February 3) as No.8 Coronation Street ended up in flames.
The family were supposed to be gathering at the Bistro for Sarah's birthday celebrations but Shona Platt and Max Turner were late having gone to the estate agents because selling the house felt like the last option available to be able to put a stop to Harvey's sinister threats.
