Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown has sweetly marked her first milestone on the cobbles. The actress joined the ITV soap in September last year as Dee-Dee Bailey, the daughter of Ed and Aggir who arrived on the street three years earlier with brothers Michael and James.
She has since been a hit with loyal viewers of the long-running show and Channique revealed to the Manchester Evening News at the time of her casting that her character is slightly close to home for her. "I just think I relate to her because I think I'm quite similar in that way...
I'm really friendly, I'm really chatty, but when I'm in the zone, when I'm working hard, I'm there," she told us. "Also, even the fact she's a lawyer.
I was originally not going to do drama school, and I was going to train in law and I got a place at a law school. And last minute I pulled out and decided to pursue drama school.
