Actor and comedian Matt Lucas took to social media to speak about the encounter with the actress, who is famed for playing Sally Metcalfe - nee Webster - in the ITV soap, over the festive period.
He shared a smiling snap of the pair on the Avanti West Coast train on both Instagram and X, formerly know as Twitter, and said: "On the train today I found myself sitting next to Sally Dynevor, a remarkable actress and human being whose work I have enjoyed - along with the rest of the nation - for so many years.
We chatted for nearly three hours about our work and our lives. "She is as warm and gracious and wonderful off-screen as she is in Weatherfield." Matt also added: "I also got to meet her daughter Phoebe, who isn't too doing badly for herself either.
