However, even though the scenes of domestic violence make for difficult viewing, the storyline can offer help to those in a similar situation.
Last week, things took a turn when Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) threatened to hurt himself if Yasmeen (Shelley King) left him, guilt-tripping his wife into staying with him.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Lisa Johnson, Manager of Direct Services at Women's Aid, explained how the storyline echoes real-life experiences of domestic violence.
