Coronation Street star Will Mellor has been opening up about the surgery that changed his life and why he nearly quit acting before his latest TV role fell into his lap.
The actor documented his procedure last month after noticing a 'rapid deterioration' in his eyesight. Will, 47, explained how he noticed his sight deteriorating since he turned 40 and took to social media to tell how he had to take this route after he was unable to have his sight helped by laser surgery.
Filming himself as he headed to his appointment at the time, Will said "Today is a big day for me. I’m about to go in for lens replacement surgery.
I’ve had bad eyes for all my life but since I hit forty my eyes just deteriorated rapidly. Now I need glasses for more or less everything.
