The pair are currently part of a hard-hitting storyline in the ITV soap which is showing Peter's character Paul Foreman slowly losing his life to Motor Neurone Disease.
Peter continues to be praised for his portrayal of Paul as the character's health deteriorates as a result of being diagnosed with the rare condition affecting the brain and nerves.
Paul was told of the life-shortening disease, in which messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles, last April with there currently being no cure.
