Former Coronation Street star Peter Ash has cast his verdict on his own soap 'funeral' as he picked out a specific detail that caught his eye.
It was another emotional day on the cobbles as Paul Foreman was laid to rest. It comes just under a month after the character, played by Peter for six years, tragically died after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in April 2023.
At the end of the long-running storyline, which showed the impact of the life-shortening disease on not just Paul but his wider family, Corrie fans saw Bernie Winter and Summer Spellman with Paul when his health took a sudden turn as he started struggling to breathe. But a heartbreaking twist, Paul's husband Billy Mayhew didn't make it to the hospital in time to fulfil his promise of being by Paul's side when the time came due to a string of unfortunate events that delayed him getting there and arriving once Paul had already passed.
