The twins who originally played Bethany Platt in Coronation Street look worlds away from their on-screen character 16 years on from their exit.
Emily and Amy Walton took on the joint role of Bethany when she was first introduced to the ITV soap back in 2000. The blonde pair acted alongside Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, and took it in turn to play Bethany until 2007.
The character then had a seven-year absence until actress Lucy Fallon joined the soap in March 2015. Lucy has since helped to make Bethany a key name on the cobbles with her involvement in some of the soaps most harrowing storylines.
Bethany Platt left the cobbles in 2020 to move to London to pursue her journalism career, but Corrie fans will be delighted to see that Lucy has now returned to reprise the role, making her comeback during the soap's New Year's Eve episode.
