Coronation Street star Sean Wilson chose a very different career path after turning his back on acting and exiting the ITV soap in 2005.
Sean, 58, played Martin Platt in the soap from 1985 until 2005, and was involved in some big storylines including his marriage to Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and becoming dad to David Platt (Jack P.
Shepherd). After exiting Corrie, he appeared in a number of other TV dramas, such as Waterloo Road and Casualty, but ultimately decided to pursue a career as a chef and cheesemaker.
Sean has enjoyed huge success in the culinary industry, with his third book, Jazz Food, having been released in November. The new book contains 44 recipes, such as salt crust beetroot and cheddar coated rib-eye steak.
