Coronation Street's Max racist past catches up with him but fans aren't impressed with his excuse

Max's past caught up with him in tonight's episode of Coronation Street, when Bec finally discovered his racist past. But when he was given the chance to explain himself, Max's excuse rubbed some fans up the wrong way.

Sitting in the café, Max chatted to Bec (whose real name was revealed as Sabrina). But he began his explanation of joining a far-right group by stating that he ADHD.

He said the condition led to him getting into trouble, which led to him hanging out with the wrong crowd. But despite the long explanation, many fans we're not impressed by MAx using his neurodivergent condition as an excuse for being racist. While Doreen Morfitt (@penniless_poet) mocked: "'I didn't wake up racist, I had ADHD so thought I could use that as an excuse.' #Corrie." Stuart Young Esq (@StuartYoung001) added: "Playing the victim card with the Adhd, Max." Owen (@itzzzo_) said: "I feel like we are supposed to be feeling sorry for Max but I don't feel sorry for him in the slightest." But some fans were happy that his ADHD was brought up in the show.

Ryan Glendenning (@RyanTheSoapking) said: "Max's ADHD being referenced I wish they went down this route Originally rather than go down the terrorism route.
