Viewers were first introduced to the detective constable after Bernie Winter went on a mission to find her long-lost son, Zodia.
When she found Kit, as she posed as a cleaner before rifling through his drawers, he lied and said he wasn't adopted, but it was later confirmed that Bernie had found her long-lost son.
Kit didn't make things easy for his biological mother, attempting to turn her other children - Paul Foreman and Gemma Winter-Brown - against her, while even getting her arrested.
