Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.

The actor, who is famed for playing David Platt in the ITV soap, shared a video to his Instagram which showed himself and his co-star Julia Goulding.
The pair appeared in a mirror inside a lift as they stood outside the transportation. Those watching the video then saw the doors close to show Jack and Vera Duckworth's photos plastered over the doors.
The legendary soap couple, played by the late Bill Tarmey and Liz Dawn, were both puckering up so when the doors closed, the pair were sharing a kiss.
