Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney has been told she 'looks the same' now as she did 24 years ago as she took a trip down memory lane.
The actress took to social media with snaps of herself from her Brookside days. Long before arriving on the cobbles as Cassie Plummer, Claire was known for starring in the defunct Channel 4 soap as Lindsey Corkhill, the daughter of already-established regulars Jimmy and Jackie.
She made her debut, initially as a recurring character, in 1991 before she became a leading character from 1995 and starred in the Liverpool-based programme, set around a cul de sac, until the final episode was broadcast in November 2003. The 53-year-old took to Instagram with number of pictures and videos from the spontaneous trip down memory lane. In one clip, Claire could be heard saying: "So I just came out for a drive with my mum, and I’m driving to West Derby and so I decided to swing by here.
