Coronation Street star Calum Lill has given fans a four-word update on Joel Deering following his recent disappearance. The actor is regularly quizzed about the downfaill of his character after his evil crimes were uncovered.

As viewers of the ITV soap know, Joel was uncovered as Lauren Bolton's 'secret boyfriend' who was showering her with gifts. However, the truth was much darker as it was revealed he was behind her disappearance and presumed murder after he was seen attacking her with a chair leg.

Luckily,, the teen survived the attack and months after first going missing, she returned to Weatherfield over the summer when Roy Cropper fell ill following his release from prison after being wrongly accused of being behind Lauren's 'murder'. But at the end of last month, Corrie viewers saw Joel not show up to his plea hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest after he was charged with buying the drugs used to prompt Lauren's early labour, having intended for her to miscarry, leaving their son Frankie's health at risk.
