Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has responded to the show's latest scenes in which her character Lauren Bolton was seen rekindling a romance with Max Turner.
The pair were first an item when Lauren arrived in Weatherfield in 2022. At the time, she had been groomed by her father Reece Bolton to join Griff Reynolds's far-right extremist group and helped in recruiting Max into the fold, which later led to him spending time in youth detention for encouraging terrorism.
When Reece and his associates went to prison for trying to detonate a bomb at the peace festival in Victoria Street, Lauren went to stay with her mother in Devon but she later returned to Weatherfield and pursued Max, only to find he was more interested in Sabrina Adetiba. Following the early birth of Lauren and Joel's son, Frankie, Max has been supporting Lauren but this caused tension in their relationship with Bobby Crawford, who has previously made his feelings for Lauren clear.
