Coronation Street's Betsy Swain in sweet update as on-screen mum shares 'exciting' future

The 22-year-old had already popped up in the ITV soap, simply referred to as Sabrina Adetiba's mate, before it was confirmed she was Betsy Swain.
Betsy's first appearance in Weatherfield came after Sabrina was found by Joel Deering in a state of distress outside the police station, having learnt that her brother had been arrested.
Quick to offer his help, Joel handed her his business card and told her to give him a call. As viewers know, she'd be wise to stay as far away from him as possible at it appeared Betsy was on to him and later warning Sabrina that t Joel was a creep and that she should steer clear.
