Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has declared her love for her castmates as she revealed her own very personal connection to one of the soap's hardest-hitting storylines.
There were tears all around earlier this week as 17 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, the life-limiting illness for which there is currently no cure, Paul Foreman tragically died.
The former builder has been supported by his loved ones as his health heartbreakingly deteriorated over the months. But there was panic for Bernie Winter and Summer Spellman when things took a turn and Paul was left struggling to breathe. Back at the hospital, Bernie, Summer and Paul's sister Gemma Winter-Brown were told by doctors there was nothing more they could do and they were encouraged to say their emotional goodbyes to Paul, while Billy was still trying to make it to the hospital in time.
