Coronation Street plot to mirror Ryan Giggs' affair with brother's wife as part of 'ultimate betrayal'

Coronation Street is set to air a storyline that's reminiscent of Ryan Giggs' infamous affair, as Kevin Webster's partner strays with his younger brother.The ITV soap will see Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, 60, battling testicular cancer while his wife Abi, portrayed by Sally Carman, 43, gives in to the temptation of secret trysts with his half-brother, Carl.

A source close to the show spilled the beans: "It's the ultimate betrayal, sleeping with your husband's hunky, younger brother but Abi just can't help herself." This plot twist comes after the real-life drama involving former Manchester United ace Ryan Giggs (51), who was caught in an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri's wife, Natasha, back in 2011.

Last year, Corrie's boss Kate Brooks hinted they were searching for a handsome actor to play Carl Webster. Although the actor's identity is still a mystery, he has been seen filming with the cast.

Carl, who has been mentioned in passing as Kevin and Debbie's half-brother, will finally make his on-screen debut. Fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the actor set to play the seductive Carl, expected next week, reports the Mirror.
