Coronation Street fans faced a bittersweet moment on Monday night as a beloved character bid farewell to the cobbles. In the latest instalment, the fan favourite declared her departure from the ITV soap with little warning, after sharing news of a job opportunity in London during Friday's episode.
Yasmeen had already informed her granddaughter Alya Nazir that she would soon be selling her shares in the family business, Speed Daal.
Emotions ran high in Monday's episode when Yasmeen confirmed her exit plans would take effect immediately, tugging at Alya's heartstrings.
