Coronation Street's newest star Farrel Hegarty has revealed landing the role of Lou Michaelis in the show isn't her first stint on the cobbles - or in a soap.
The actress will arrive on the street in February as part of a new family who will make their way to Weatherfield, all guns blazing and willing to make life hell for anyone who dares to cross them, with the ITV soap describing them as 'nightmare neighbours'.
Lou and Mick Michaelis will move into Mawdsley Street at the back of Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown's house, which will be the first time ever Corrie have extended the serial drama across the ginnel.
Initially arriving on her own on-screen on February 12, immediately sparks up a friendship with Gemma as they recognise each other from Bessie Street School, where Gemma’s quads and Lou’s two young daughters attend.
