Claire Sweeney took to Instagram on Friday (October 18) as she posted a snap from filming alongside Simon Gregon. Fans will recall that the pair, who play Cassie Plummer and Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, have had more scenes together in recent months.
It mainly started when Cassie found herself in the fold at No.1 Coronation Street having become Ken Barlow's carer after he fell down the stairs and fractured his pelvis before seemingly winning Steve round and starting a new double act. They have since flitted between being friends and frenemys but judging by Claire and Simon's smiling faces in a very Christmassy Rovers Return, it could mean there's more to come between the pair.
