On Monday, his lifeless body was discovered by restaurant owner Ray, with Adam soon rushed to hospital. There, doctors confirmed he was in a bad way but in a stable condition.
His worried wife Sarah Platt soon fell under suspicion, after they had a row the night before. Just moments before it seemed they might reconcile after months apart, she learned of his fling with Carla Connor - the partner of his own uncle Peter Barlow.
