Coronation Street fans have been left issuing their pleas over who they want saving from Stephen Reid's grasp as they were teased with details of his exit from the cobbles.

There are just days to go until viewers of the ITV soap will see the dastardly businessman leave Weatherfield. How he leaves is being kept very tightly under wraps but his demise is set to unfold in a dramatic week of episodes starting from Monday, October 9, during what is annually dubbed 'Super Soap Week'.

The episodes, which will be back in their usual Monday, Wednesday and Friday slots after three weeks of schedule shake-ups, will see Stephen's reign of terror reach a dramatic climax, more than a year after he made a sudden return from Milan to be reunited with the Platts. But whether he escapes justice or finally pays for his crimes, or if he claims any more victims along the way, one thing is for sure actor Todd is finally bidding farewell to Stephen and Coronation Street, leaving shock and devastation in his wake.
