Chesney Winter-Brown (played by Sam Aston) has never had it easy on Coronation Street and is often struggling to make ends meet to feed his growing family.
In recent weeks, he was crushed to learn an inspector had announced his kebab shop needed to close until manager Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) sorted out the situation.
While the loss of income would not have much of an impact on Dev as he has other business ventures in Weatherfield, it's been a crushing blow for Chesney, who doesn't have a great deal of money in the bank.The upsetting scene reminded fans that Chesney had told his partner Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) earlier this year his dream was to have his very own burger joint called ChesBurger.
On Reddit, one user noted that Chesney mentioned making gourmet burgers months ago on the soap as a way of earning more money for his family, but the idea has never been mentioned since.They added: "It would be nice to have a bit of a change of pace for him and Gemma rather than the same, 'We can't afford it, but we'll manage,' story over and over again."
