Coronation Street fans would struggle to recognise Catherine Tyldesley in her latest role, after the soap bombshell donned a not-so-glamorous costume for a new project. The 38-year-old was spotted in Manchester filming but looked completely different, wearing a short brown wig, glasses held together with plasters and a more mature outfit. The mum-of-two wore a lilac top, pink fleece jacket and a long floral skirt, as well as some ankle socks and sandals. At one point, former Strictly star Catherine tied the fleece around her waist as she filmed underneath the scorching heat that the UK felt earlier in the week.It seems the former soap star may have been filming a new skit with her comedy character Olga, which she often features on her Instagram.Olga is a bit of a busy-body who seems to know everything about her neighbours' lives – and she always has something to say about them. But the cheeky character proves Catherine can do comedy just as well as she can do drama, as she puts on a strong accent for the funny role.It looks like Catherine is back at work after the birth of her daughter in April. She and her husband Tom Pitfield welcomed their second child together a few months ago and announced that the little tot was called Iris.Speaking about the choice of name, Catherine told Hello!

magazine: "I've had the name Iris for years. A while back, I played a character called Iris Moss in the BBC drama Lilies and I have loved it ever since then."The couple also gave their daughter the middle name Ella, which is a tribute to Tom's late grandmother. The duo welcomed their first child – a son called Alfie James – in March 2015 and got married a year later in May 2016.They announced they were expecting their second child in October.
